Trippy cinematography in hotel restaurant

I never noticed this when watching the movie, but start at 17:45 or so (Neeson is in the hotel restaurant talking to his wife and asking her to remember him, in front of the concessionaire or manager) and fast-forward through that scene. It's like falling sideways, that was a really cool, subtle effect!

Cool.

He's nothing next to Bart Taylor.

Yeah it was intended to show the confusion or disorientation in that scene. Its quite subtle and effective. Kubrick famously did something similar in Clockwork where the crippled writer is starting to put Alex's story together. Kubrick had the crew rearrange props on the table between takes so that there were intentional continuity errors.

Noticed that too. That floating effect worked really well.
