Is Gina supposed to be Bosnian Croat?

Something like that, I think. But whatever she was supposed to be, that accent was really off. So generic. But the casting is extra weird. Why hire a German actress to play someone who is illegally residing in Germany?

A) She was hired on location.

B) She needed to speak German for scenes.
