Why were there shower sex flashbacks?

Yeah, that scene and the scene in the taxi from the airport where she was affectionate with him suggest that they were a real couple. It would have been better for the movie if they weren't but Taken probably insisted that he have a shower scene with her.

I get the explanation that they got together at some point in the past, but it grates so much with the photograph of them that was so clearly faked. So some of their relationship was faked, and another bit was real? I just fail to see what that adds to the movie, other than confusion.

Remember when he got her on her own after she claimed she didnt know who he was she told him to find the briefcase and that she loved him so they obviously had something going.

B/c they actually had sex. You see the end of the scene where she's toweling off with her hair different (in disguise or out of disguise or diff disguise).
