Did I Miss Something ???

After the movie ended, I realized I didn't know why the Liam Neeson character (Dr. Martin Harris) suddenly seemed to turn "good" once his memory returned, by trying to stop the Arab Prince from being killed by the bomb he originally hid in the hotel when he was "bad" (prior to the accident that caused him to completely lose his memory).

I was watching the second half of this movie while doing something else, and wonder if I missed the explanation (if any was given) as to why he seemed to have this sudden change of heart (if, in fact, he actually did).

Anyone ??? 

It reminded me Arnies character in Total Recall, bad guy had his bad memories wiped to infiltrate a group of 'good guys' by thinking he was always one of the good guys, and when it turns out he really was a bad guy he juts gave that all up and continued his good life.
If you was fundamentally bad before amnesia and woke thinking your a nice person, what happens when your bad memories come back to revert you back to type or can you juts stick with this recent decision of being good?
