Book vs Mini Series

For those who have read the book by John LeCarre and then watched the mini series; which did you think was better? I just finished the book and I hated it. Very confusing and frankly rather boring. The series was so much better I thought. Thoughts anyone?

I don't plan to read the book because I've found lecarre's work is actually more interesting on screen.
One of very very few authors I would say this about.
