Sarin?
Was I mistaken that part of the sale at the end included chemical weapons? If so, blowing up the transport would not have been a good idea...

shareDepends Sarin is usually disbursed via low order detonation so there is no fire in the arty or bomb. Heat VERY easily renders agrnts like Sarin inert so while I haven't gotten to that part yet- I am assuming that it was a biggun and that would habe likely wrecked the stuff depending on what is was stored in.
Sarin i very lethal takes only a tiny drop to kill. Interestingly enough we found some 16
+ Tons of it in Iraq but the media immediately said it didn't count because they were old arty shells - 152mm I believe.
And interestingly enough while there is a lot of talk about why they weren't really WMD-'all of it was untrue.
Another fun fact is FRANCE and Germany used to sell Saddam engine "packs" for tanks labeling them as engines for farm equipment to get around sanctions. Sort of how this scheme involved farm gear as a cover story.
Weren't those two countries also high and mighty against the war? One day all the truth will come out and hopefully it won't create too much turmoil. Someone took a buttload of heat and anger for doing the right thing because ultimately- I guess that is preferred over the truth about our allies and what the truth will do to Eu.
That was very informative, thanks!
