To each his own, but in my opinion it doesn't hold a candle to the original. Guess I'm just old. The words over everything he touched was so annoying. His hacks were reminiscent of a junior high school science fair. Just plain cheesy. I'm sure there will be huge following for this new generation Mac, but I'll stick with RDA... Now get off my lawn, damn kids!

shareI went in with an open mind. I grew up watching the original, I even happened to be in a filming location at the time, I started watching it because I wanted to see what was filmed and became a fan of the show.
This show was just dull. Characters sucked, story sucked, I doubt I will watch another episode. The parachute from a tarp was just laughable.
As others have mentioned, Burn Notice did it better.
Part of it is character development and things like that.
shareHis tricks for fooling fingerprint recognition seem very basic and simple. I assume that security experts would already know about tricks like that and have already developed more sophisticated devices.
Later, the woman smashes the computer and removes the hard drive and exposes the platter(s) to the outside then says they will read the data. That is stupid. Platters are sealed in hard drives (it is called Winchester technology) for a reason; the platters should never be exposed to the outside unless it is a special super-clean area. Something as small as smoke can damage a platter.
Not to mention those 2 guys shooting up the room upstairs at the party and no one heard a thing?? Then he jumps off the boat and ghostrides it into the other boat with a HUGE explosion... 1 episode of this was more than enough for me.

This new remake and the new "Lethal Weapon" remake (into TV) shows are nothing more than "pretty boys/girls" and them pretending to be actors.
There is absolutely ZERO "character" to the characters of either show.
Most of the people of these shows have zero acting ability. All they have is looks.
Thus, not going to watch either show.
