CBS cancelled POI
and picked up this piece of crap! SMH
shareFor those asking why people don't just watch something else, here is the reason.
The stuff that actually puts some effort into getting the science right gets cancelled because people would much rather watch this kind of nonsense.
Person of Interest was a much better written show than this or Scorpion, but they jumped its times around and get it weird ass breaks so finding it was a challenge for those without a PVR and then complained that it has low ratings...
POI was cancelled because CBS didn't own it so it quickly cost too much for them to purchase the rights to air it. By season 5 CBS made very little money on POI. That's it, that's the whole reason why they cancelled it, "MacGyver" had nothing to do with beyond the fact that "MacGyver" is owned by the network and POI wasn't. You can blame those that made it (Bad Robot among others) for it not coming back for a season 6, they never even tried to shop it around to other networks once it was cancelled by CBS. Why do people always have to make connections that aren't there. When a show is cancelled it's usually because it's too expensive for the lack of ratings it's pulling in. Last year half the POI fans where blaming it's cancellation on "Limitless" now you're blaming it on "MacGyver". I miss POI too but I'm not going to blame it on anyone other than the fans who stopped watching!
^^ This.
shareSounding alittle ignorant. POI? I do understand all of the frustration. And I don't blame anyone not liking this early version. This one ep caught me off as well. I'm willing to watch another episode on Friday...to see about what sortof
change is needed. Yea the whole show. I already have the show on recording schedule.
blackflag nailed it. But also POI couldn't go on forever. The new MacGyver concept was better than the execution.

At the very least it would have been nice to have gotten a full season 5. As it is they have a great series with a crappy ending (well, weak. It was still better than most of what is on TV) which doesn't help with syndication.
shareThe last season of POI was awful. I'd rather have that unseen.
However, we're here to talk about MacGyver, which could possibly be the best show ever aired! It is not. Avoid at all cost. DO. NOT. WATCH. I warned you.
