Looks more and more like "Supergirl" and less and less like "MacGyver".
Actually, that is not too bad of an idea. It would possibly be moved to Canada, and as a result, the show would have to make practical budget and format changes. Which this show kind of needs right now. MacGyver and Thornton is surprisingly good castings, but the current format ruins any sort of static relationship between them. The problem is with the other unnecessary "full time" secondary characters.
I do not know if any show has ever been put on hold to work on its issues, and then return as a successful series. I doubt that it will ever happen with a show this new though. Considering the subject matter, it could still work on CW with a few changes.
