If they ever make another Dirk Pitt movie, this guy would be the perfect Al. He's basically playing that role on this show already.

I think you lost people on your thread title. They're too hooked on 'this isn't the original "MacGyver"' to have any idea of who Al Giordino or Dirk Pitt are.

Sahara can be faulted for many things. Its gorgeous cinematography, however, is not one of them.

While he may fit the character, I don't know if he matches the physical description.

Well, on the other hand, it didn't prevent Tom Cruise from being cast as 'Jack Reacher'. 😒
