But why do the taxpayers foot the bill for corrupt prosecutors. This never sat right with me. They knowingly fuck up and illegally convict an innocent man, but we pay the bill?
shareAgreed. I mean it's one thing if the state convicts an innocent person based the reasonable evidence at hand at the time. That's shitty, but possibly understandable.
But in this case, the cops and DA's flat out ignored exculpatory evidence that proved this man's innocence. That shit should result in civil suits and prison time.
Unfortunately, people that have jobs for the government seem beyond reproach.
