where can we watch this?
anybody know? i guess it drops in Japan October.. but are we waiting for the blu-ray or can we see it sooner?

I’m with ya. I’ve been dying to see this. When will it be released in NA? I can’t find it anywhere online, never mind finding subtitles.

Just watched it. Have you seen it yet? There were some things I liked but the traps weren’t too great, some of the storytelling was clumsy, and some of the moments felt unearned. I think a lot of the reason I felt the latter was something I see in a lot of Japanese media: characters will pause or stare into space dramatically way too long wasting critical time better spent building up relationships with banter and other believable interactions.

i thought it was kinda cool.. but didn't like it that much. wish they brought some more math back!
agree it was a bit spacey and "philosophical" unlike the original that had those qualities at the right amount
Just caught this on Tubi, and agree that the 1997 original is much better.
It was cool to check this out, but the character interactions, solutions, and traps simply felt more organic and engrossing in the original.
Glad I caught it on Tubi before committing to a blind buy on bluray.
