update

'Wrong Turn at Tahoe' is actually in post production, and has a great cast including Cuba Gooding, Jr., Harvey Keitel and Miguel Ferrer... It was written by an amazing new writer by the name of Eddie Nickerson.

Sincerely,

Eddie Nickerson

This will be cool. Miguel Ferrer and Johnny Messner are awesome,
plus Keitel is in it too.

Hi Eddie,

I'm actually really interested in this film. I'm a huge Keitel fan. Is his part very big in this?

Please keep us updated on distribution and so forth! Please!

reply

Keitel shows up half way through the film and completely screws up the lives of the main characters, played by Cuba and Miguel.

Nino's a great role for him.

Thank you for your interest.

I actually talked to Miguel a lot. He's a regular guy with a great sense of humor.

If you see him again tell him he was phenomenal in TWin Peaks!!!

Hey Eddie. Really like the film ! Well done. Loved the speech between Harvey Keitel and Ferrer, especially the but about Jaws !!

reply

I appreciate the kind words, thank you. I'm hoping people will get beyond the 'Oh, it's a straight-to-DVD, B movie' thing and give it a chance. It was funded and distributed by Paramount and executive produced by Tapestry Films - two entities that know what they're doing.

Good call. It was the Red. Glad you liked it.

Very entertaining movie. This does not fit the "DTV" label.

Thank you. Please tell your friends.

Just wanted to say fantastic film Mr. Nickerson! Your screenplay was superb and dealt with the crime world in a realistic and refreshing way. Great picture, wonderful cast and atmospheric direction. I will most definitely be recommending this fine film to my friends.

reply

Thank you. There have been a few haters on the boards, but I'm relieved to find most people are enjoying the film.

When I found out Miguel had been cast, I wasn't too sure about him as Vincent. He definitely made a believer out of me.

i enjoyed watching this movie, i think it was very well done, but i think it was a little implausible how they managed to just kill everyone at the mansion in the end. there were some things which helped them (silenced guns, the hat, the two-pronged assault, wild west movie (although they couldn't possibly have forseen that)), but still one would expect the big boss to have better defenses, especially after he just had a rival's wife killed.

e.g. they could have ambushed nino's car in a forest, and a similar shootout could have happened.

Great movie. The writing had some genius moments and a few cringe-worthy dialoguje bits, but really... Its the best movie I've seen this year. When Joshua finishes killing that thug and sees the legs under the pool table and there is that pan up - thats a memorable scene.

Mr. Nickerson I am in the computer science field and know nothing about film except that I like it or I don't like it. I liked it. Straight to the point. No filler. Congratulations.

reply

Mr. Ppump I know nothing about the computer science field. What I do know, is I like your taste in film. Thank you for the compliment. It is greatly appreciated.

Best,

I salute you sir. You had the opportunity to work with the best.

Thank you, Robert2316. I am certainly counting my blessings as a first-time writer to have landed such a stellar cast.
