Nino and Joshua

How did Nino know Joshua's name? Vincent starts to question him on it but they get interrupted. And Joshua knew whose house it was when they pulled up. If they're trying to infer that Joshua and Nino knew each other, wouldn't Joshua know the truth about Eddie Tahoe?

The familiarity between Nino and Joshua was added during production, I assume, by the director. You are correct: If Joshua and Nino knew each other, one would assume that Joshua would know Frankie Tahoe's employment status with the drug lord. That's what often happens when directors mess with a screenplay- they end up creating questions, inconsistencies, holes, and loose ends.

Thank you for your question.

Best,

Eddie

Thanks for your response. Very cool of you to answer questions about your movie.

I thought it was a "foreshadowing" of the end, not a complete surprise as Joshua knew Nino owned the house as they drove up. There was a bit of Nino's direct hostility, calling Joshua a "regular pitbull" and then a "boy Friday". Just the kind of angry personal insult thrown at a guy sleeping with his woman.

It bookended when Vincent was giving Mickey a hard time about 'taking off his shoes' and if he could detect 'biological transmissions'. wtf? That seemed so random...until Vincent shot Mickey for sleeping with his wife. I liked the story and the movie very much. Nice humor, with the knife attack blocked by "Shakespeare's Comedies" book, and 'foreshadowing' poker conversation.

Again, a change by the director that created questions and loose ends.
