Nice atmosphere and mood, well acted throughout, simple but effective story. Thought the cinemetography was slick and was shocked to read this was shot on a relatively low budget.
My only qualm is the ending and that little backstory which seemed shoehorned in but otherwise, I was entertained and thats all I wanted.

I loved most of it - some great performances - but I agree about the ending.
It actually was about five times better than I had anticipated. I agree, this was a great film...dark, moody and highly under-rated. Miguel really turned in an Oscar worthy performance in this movie. I loved how he didn't give Harvey an inch...that was a great scene when the two of them faced off at the meeting (the pennies vs dollar bills d!ck measuring).
This movie almost makes me believe that Cuba could churn out some decent movies from now on. And hopefully Messner ends up in some better movies, too, he was the highlight of the film for like the first 20 minutes or so.
Very underrated.
