shareThere are a lot of good movies that go straight to DVD. Many of your more artistic movies are only able to generate enough of a budget to secure a non A-list cast. Thank God you still have talented actors and crew willing to work on a project because they like the script, and want to see the movie made... Even if only for a DVD-viewing audience.
There's nothing pathetic about these projects. Like 'em or loathe 'em -- They provide work for a lot of people in the entertainment industry.
And, at least wait until you've seen it before you classify it as a *beep* movie.

Can you tell me some? (not being mean, but generally curious)
Don't say it! Don't you *beep* say you're too good for me. I am, but don't say it
'The Immortals'
'Powder Blue'
'The Code'
'The Darwin Awards'
'Chaos'
'The Contract'
'Edison Force'
'A Murder of Crows'
'Dog Soldiers'
Try these. If you don't like them, I'll come up with some more.
Of the ones I´ve seen from your list, I really didn´t like "The Çode", "The Darwin Awards", "Çhaos", "Edison Forçe" or "A Murder of Çrows". I loved "Dog Soldiers", though that was released theatriçally in the UK, where I lived at the time.
Eaçh to their own, tastewise, I guess (it´d be a boring world, otherwise). One STV film I did see reçently, however, and really liked, was "The Tournament".
my personal favorite: you stupid man.

starring Milla Jovovich
cheezy "chick flick", and one of my top 10 movies.
and another: russian doll.

"hardware_pounder"
None of those are good. None.

What Would Gibson Do?
"There are a lot of good movies that go straight to DVD."
Trust me, this ain't one of them.
"Last survivor of the Nostromo...signing off..."
Have you seen it?

Trust me, this is one of them. I just watched this and was really impressed with every aspect of the production, and what a tight script, This picture had me completely engaged from the beginning to the end. I'll watch it again, and I rarely watch anything twice, unless it was made before 1960.

Only the ignorant judge a movie based on being DTV.
That's worse than judging a book by it's cover, it's elitist and ignorant.
