Did you notice this (about Little Ronni)??

There's a secuence in the movie where Dusan (C. Waltz) spoke about Little Ronni after Paul asked about him and Dusan says "Ronni will get syphilis" or somethimg like that.
The thing is that after 40 minutes or so when all the people that are going to enter into the "Ark cave" are reunited and Dr. Jorgen Asbjørnsen says a little speach, the camera focus on Little Ronni for a few seconds and I thought I saw a little reddish welt over his upper lip (as he were caught syphilis!) Did you notice this also?? I think the director wanted to "say" something with this (I don't think the movie's make-up people are so incompetent) but I don't get what the movie is trying to convey here...

Good catch!

No question those are intentional - I played it with the audio description track:

"Little Ronni beams, his mouth covered in cold sores."

Hilarious at first, but then kind of frustrating ... like the rest of the film, indicative of clever ideas poorly executed by a director who should've known better

Yeah, that was on purpose. A lame joke.

What's sad is that it was probably the only attempt at a joke in the entire second half of the movie.

Wow! Congrats on noticing that obvious and simple joke! You have to get up very early in the morning to get anything past ShadowBandit!
