Ended up using the FF button for most of episode 2.

I'm losing a lot of interest in this series which is unfortunate. In this past episode I watched the beginning segment and the end of the episode along with the scenes with Hetty but other than that I had my finger on the FF button.

I've grown tired and bored with the show because the premise is nearly always the same in each episode. My favorite episodes are when they step outside of their norm - the cult episode from last season and the episode several seasons back when the daughter of a marine is kidnapped and buried alive.

The typical episodes where the Muslim/Middle Eastern criminal is trying to import/export weapons to/from Los Angeles is tiresome.

I understand the show is NCIS but surely these writers can come up with something new.

Anyone else agree?

Couldn't DISAGREE more!! The second episode was great!! Love seeing more of Callen and Sam and almost NONE of Densi (talk about BORING ). That couple is the MOST boring couple on TV!! Everybody was perfect in that episode--even Granger, who's not my favorite. Eric and Nell were sharp, and Hetty was obviously up to something.

Really liked the third episode, too!! Love seeing Nell out in the field! And the woman who was transfixed by Sam!! Hilarious!!  And, of course, Hetty was fantastic and loved seeing Duggan get his. 

Looking forward to episode 4!!  Way to go, guys!! It's off to a great start!!

That cult episode was BORING!! 

I think the series is off to a GREAT start! Kudos all around!! Thank god Gemmill and the writers have taken hold of the Densi storyline; that thing was running off the rails--and taking the series with it!! Can't wait to see episode 4 and more of Nell in the field (Nellvarine), more Callen, Sam, Hetty, Eric, and Granger! Everything looks good so far!!!

I agree with the other commentators--I REALLY like the way this season has started! I loved the team going overseas on a mission. I think the criticism about having Muslim/Middle Eastern terrorists involved in many episodes is akin to complaining about WWII movies having the Allies too often fighting the Germans or the Japanese. At the moment, the main terrorist enemies are the radical Islamist terrorist AND the homegrown terrorist--who've also been featured in a number of episodes ("Ambush," "Rage," "Purity," and others). And, of course, they're going to focus on L.A.--that's their base of operations.

I HATED that stupid cult episode (boring AND stupid), but I liked the one about the daughter being buried (I think it was "Little Angels") because we learned more about Sam's past as a SEAL.

Also, thank goodness 👏 the writers have moved the focus from being primarily on Densi. That was getting to be truly tiresome (I turned the mute on whenever those two came on the screen--and funny, I never missed anything important ).

From this small sampling it looks as if I'm the odd man out.

I agree about Denzi. Like 'em as a couple but enough already.

I must have missed an episode because I thought only two had aired thus far. If I did miss an episode I'm can surmise as to what happened in the episode.

I guess I'll see what the future holds with my NCIS: LA watching.

Every week their case involves a "Threat to National Security". If they continue the way they are( getting rid of Kensi/Douchebag) storylines and getting back to "out of the norm" like the poster said is a great idea. Callen and Sam are coming back to the forefront, which I like. Nell getting Field work is a good addition. However, and maybe it's me, but something is off with this season, with each passing week Deeks being the mole us looking more likely. And it's hard to find the words to describe what's wrong with the show... anyway

It's hard to judge this season based on 3 episodes. They had to "set the stage" for things to come (like Hetty giving her resignation with a 90 day deadline related to the mole that's continuing from previous seasons). And they had to write something to cover the pregnancy; that's not easy. It's great to see Callen and Sam more and Deeks less (IMO), and Nell has done well in the field (like her hesitation after Kensi's injury). I expect we'll see other stories develop as the season continues especially now that Hetty's back in charge (I'm curious about Callen's father and the sunflowers).
