Premiere rocked!

That was a great show, especially "The Belly of the Beast." Action, good dialogue, good drama--all-in-all a great job writers and an auspicious start to Gemmill's turn at the helm. Congrats all around!! Looking forward to more exciting episodes!! 👏

Agree! It was a terrific episode! Congrats to the writers and execs, especially Gemmill!! This looks much better than the "White Ghost" story for Kensi, and it was great to see Callen and Sam in action!

Yep, it did! Glad to see the "guys" back in action. Some funny lines delivered well: "Besides this conversation?" "So intelligent . . . and so Beale." "We're his accountants." "We've lost our secret squirrels." "We don't need no stinking badges." "Even my Starbucks card has expired." "Oh, tourism. Let's do that. Have you met me?"

Sam is a Renaissance man--where would they be without his medical knowledge? Glad to see Callen in action, too (nice reference to Say Anything). It's better to have the NCIS guys more in charge; they've had more training. The scene of Nell and Eric breaking into OPS was well done--suspenseful and funny, too.

And danger Granger--took some chances and stepped up to the plate!

Now, all that's needed is for Hetty to get back in the game.

Good job, Gemmill (and writers)!! The show looks to be in good hands!

Great job, everyone! It was exciting, action-packed, and funny in all the right parts! Now, how soon can we get rid of the jackass who's taken over for Hetty and Granger and get rid of that darn mole?

From what I've seen on youtube, the French seem to have a fixation on Densi (the French always have been a little weird). 😜 Thank goodness the show isn't filmed there!! It was great to see the NCIS agents more "in charge" since it's NCIS:LA--and Deeks is part of the team, but he's not an NCIS agent--yet.

I agree it was a very good season premiere...alot better than some of the previous season premieres, especially last season's premiere was terrible in comparison! XP

Oh and btw I have good news, the ratings for the new S8 premiere was the highest season premiere rating since the show got removed from its original tuesday timeslot! Maybe this new Sunday timeslot might just turn out to be a better timeslot for the show than the previous monday timeslot afterall?

reply

Glad to hear the ratings were good!! ?
If the stories stay strong, so should the ratings!

reply

Great news about the ratings! The premiere was great! Good story, lots of action! Glad to see the "boys"--Callen and Sam--are back in the action (more like the leaders of the team). Every team needs a leader--and it should be an actual NCIS agent. Keep the action and good stories coming, Gemmill and team!!! Congrats on a great opener!!!!

Now, I hope that we don't have hours of dopey hospital scenes with Deeks mooning over Kensi. But we did see the kind of guy Deeks is: he loves Kensi so much he was willing to die in the Syrian desert with her. He was thinking about Callen and Sam, but how insulting! Kensi was a member of the NCIS team long before Deeks was, and Sam, as a former SEAL, would never leave a team member behind--and Callen would never leave Sam or any team member behind (he didn't even want to leave Arkady behind).

I really liked it too. Looking forward to more episodes.

I remember the immortal words of Socrates who said.." I drank WHAT?".....Real Genius..

reply

Socrates and NCIS: LA -- no connection.

"And to think Kent we were going to make you King of the Winter Carnival"----real Genius. And there's definitely no connection to NCIS LA..
