24 episodes were ordered...

I sure wish they'd find a better time slot for the show. Sunday nights don't work for me and I suspect other people feel the same way.

The day and time (no matter what they are) will never work for everyone.
Record it or watch it online another day/time.

Exactly (can't please all the people all the time). I've learned to set my DVR by TIME, not by the PROGRAM (it takes a little more time to do it, but I've never missed a show).

But Sundays especially don't work, for any show. And it's solely due to the football run-over during the first half of the TV season. And because of the football run-over, it's tough to record accurately. And CBS is the only network that forces people to pay for their service, CBS All-Access, to be able to watch shows, filled with ads.

That's why any show that's built its home during the weeknights and then is pushed to Sunday is always going to have a ratings drop. And it's not because the show isn't good. It's due to the fact that not a lot of people can readily watch the show if it doesn't air even close to on-time. Happened with CSI and CSI: Miami. I know during my experience with crappy cable, trying to extend my DVR to record a late-starting CBS show caused recording conflicts with other shows in Sundays, like Homeland or Dexter. And with cable, you can't watch anything else on TV with two recordings going. Directv and Dish don't have this issue, but not everyone can get it.

Memphis Raines: I'm a little tired, a little wired, and I think I deserve a little appreciation!

That may be true for some shows, but the ratings for NCIS:LA are actually higher this season than last--even with the move. Personally, I think the ratings have improved because the execs and writers realized that "Densi" wasn't the draw for viewers they thought -- a LOT of "Densi" fans aren't U.S. viewers and a lot of U.S. viewers thought "Densi" detracted from the entire show --and still does (I know I didn't watch many episodes last season, and when I did, I always had my hand on the mute button, so I could use it as soon as "Densi" appeared). 

IF the execs and writers don't get sucked back in to focusing on "Densi," then the show will probably be fine. After football, it's usually the 2nd or 3rd highest watched network show on Sunday.
