Things AD Learned This Week (1/8) on Homeland Security

Always use a shorter fuse on thrown bombs. If you have another car following you, you want the bomb to blow up before it arrives.

When working a security detail, don't pull your gun after either the first or second vehicle approaches. If your job is to protect a person, get that person to safety, don’t start a gunfight.

PEBG gets it right... pull when someone knocks on your door. If you’re an undercover operative, you would have your gun ready when someone unexpected arrives.

When Deeks shoots, the bad guys go ouch. Only if they’re paper targets who don’t shoot back.

In addition to interrogation skills, TTS does well at relationship advice. Wow, so now AD understands the difference between buddies and couples.

Why did we pull this case? LOL. C'mon PEBG, that's like the dumbest question ever for this show! The victim was a Navy reservist, but the real reason was a Senator reached out to the APD. No need to bother with agencies that have more manpower and expertise in this area like the FBI, USMS, or Secret Service. Call NCIS! Because even though NCIS is considered one of the premier crime units, no one in government ever asks—or receives—favors.

The actual real reason for NCIS involvement was the bomb being taped to a bottle of rum. Rum is a favorite of pirates, and the Navy battles pirates! While we're at it, no need to involve anyone from the ATF either. The ATF investigates rum?

EBB and Kensi in workout clothing. Another solid week for the 18-25 male demographic. The same could be said for the female demographic since Callen was wearing workout clothing.

Best cover ever: You're going undercover using your real name after turning up at the crime scene the same day. Wait. Was an employee of Kulinda at the crime scene when Callen and Sam were investigating? No, didn’t think so.

When you are in an alley in a run down part of town to investigate a car being dumped, talk over a personal relationship and ignore your surroundings. Yea, all alleys in the middle of the day are dangerous places. Even when no one is visible, it’s likely thugs are crouched behind dumpsters just waiting for someone to park and get out. I mean, what else would they do? Go rob a store or sell some dope?

Even though the odds are 1 in 4 that you'll photograph the correct tire, PEBG has mad skills for tire photography, and ING has likewise skills for instant tread match. It's so much easier to drive a car to a chop shop without tires.

When it's just you and EBB, there is no need for backup. When a car—the evidence of a crime—is in a chop shop being taken apart, time might be of the essence.

That was one heck of an extended magazine in the pistol used by the chop shop gun thug. He must have shopped at the same place as the gun thugs on Hawaii Five-0 (2010). An AK pistol can hold 30 bullets standard, up to 50 when modified.

High school disciplinary records are easily accessible if you are ING. C’mon. Eric hacked the NSA. Do you really think hacking a high school is gonna be tough?

Young black kids in LA are always eager to talk to white people holding guns outside a friend's apartment. ANY boy would be eager to talk to Anna regardless of what she was holding.

PEBG could have put down his gun since EBB was still covering the dude. Maybe Callen probably thought, as the actual NCIS agent, that he should keep the suspect covered.

TTS' speech to Irvin was pretty good. Agree

Kensi has much to learn about being a federal government employee... malingering is encouraged. But if the department shrink is there, you can call it an appointment.

Who the heck is AD?

I think AD is Dark Avenger backwards (it's a parody on his post).

This the NCIS LA message board. I don't even watch Homeland. Go post on their boards.

The posts are about NCIS: LA. Obviously, you haven't read them; they're pretty funny.
