I Predict...

...a very unfulfilling payoff next week.

I like this show. It's not the best dialog in the world, but, on a normal episode the typical lighthearted banter is amusing. But the bigger story arcs have been uninspired for quite some time, and, lately, they're just festering. Normally, I enjoy meta arcs better than single episode arcs, but not here. These writers have some dialog skills, but they're absolutely crap when it comes to multi-season arcs.

At this point, I don't care who the mole is. I really don't.

As much as I have enjoyed the story arc, kinda like you I am ready for it to be over. Whoever the mole is will most likely end up being underwhelming which is expected for this type of show

I expect something unforeseen that changes the show.

I also think they've done a good job with arcs. The arc about Callen's family lasted 7 seasons (and is still going on) but they've done a good job. Same with the Chameleon story arc and even the really dumb White Ghost (Spoils of War was a terrific episode). Just my 2 cents

*spoilers*

You think they've done a 'good job' on Callen's family story arc? Sure, the first few seasons, it had it's interesting moments, but, since he met his father, it's had no where to go for a while now.

I expect something unforeseen that changes the show.

Granger, for obvious reasons, isn't going to survive this attack. But that's foreseen. Beyond that, what could they possibly do? It's normally about this time in a TV show's life span that actors get the itch to move on to other projects and/or ask for too much money, but I'm not seeing that here. If the mole did end up being one the major characters, with what we know about them, that would be major shark jumpage.

I'm not saying "this show sucks." I'm just saying that they have strengths and weaknesses. Dialog is their strength. Meta arcs, not so much. They're better off, imo, with monsters of the week- or recurring monsters, like the Chameleon, but this other stuff should go.

Personally, I'm glad to not see too much of Callen's dad this season. That'll probably change once the mole is finished. I'm not a big fan of all the "personal relationship" crap--HATE Densi.

Of all the actors, ECO has been the most active in other things besides NCIS: LA. He's not getting any younger; if he wants to make it on the big screen--and not just as a character actor when he's older--maybe he'll be leaving for greener pastures. That wouldn't bother me a bit.

I like the episodic format, but this story line doesn't bother me. It's different.

Funny you should say White Ghost, I see Erik Palladinos character is back next week and as there's always been something shady about him my money is on him being the molez
