I hated this movie with a passion
Never did understand what was going on.
shareIt's one of those things you have to watch multiple times. First time my mind was blown, but on subsequent viewings I started to understand what was going on. Although after several viewings, you start to question even more things haha. It's like going down the rabbit whole even deeper.
I'll ask you a basic question to get started: do you think anything was real, or was it all just a dream?
I would go with a dream
shareHah it was a trick question. The director (Christopher Nolan) said that there is no right answer. It's supposed to make you think what the difference is between a dream and reality, and then you realize that perhaps there isn't a difference at all!
sharemore confused than ever - thanks anyway.
shareThis article really helped me understand it: http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/inception-ending-christopher-nolan-finally-discusses-the-meaning-behind-that-spinning-top-10294480.html
shareIf it were a dream, nothing would be special about what happened. You can do anything in a dream. What would make it interesting or remarkable is if somehow this was done in real life. This is why I'm almost positive it's not a dream.
shareI'd like to believe also that the end was 'real' instead of a dream.
