Pain in a dream.

When you are in a dream and die, you don't actually die, you wake up. But pain in the dream is felt all the way, but how is this pain felt? If a dreamer has never felt the pain of a gun shot, and he gets shot in the dream, how will his mind know how to feel?

Pain is in the mind. Physically, there's no such a thing as pain, pain doesn't exist beyond the mind of a living thing. The organs can only report pain impulses to the brain, but it's the brain who makes you feel suffer, i.e. creates pain.
