I certainly would have sat through more of this stupid film, if she wasn't in it.

More annoying in that role than she is in real life, if that's possible.

I think Rooney Mara would have done well. She has a "deer in the headlights" look about her that would work nicely with the character. I always felt like Ariadne was a bit too coy about the whole thing... She would fit aestetically as well (not to say that Ms. Page isn't pretty in her own right lol).

I thought she was fine. Adequate at worst. Didn't find myself wishing someone else was in her place. Looking at the thread. Scarlett? No. I can't see her bringing anything to the role apart from looks. Rooney? Would be interesting. I was happy enough with what Page gave us. Also, not suggesting this is the case here, but there is a difference between not liking a character because they are not written as a person you like or can relate to, and not liking a character because of the way they are portrayed. Sounded like some people wanted a different character serving the same function to the plot moreso than a different actress playing the same character.
