Didn't they already make this movie in the 1980's and wasn't it called DREAMSCAPE?

If aliens invaded Earth and they all looked like Chanel Preston, I'd do whatever they wanted!

Nolan took 10 years to write this and I have never heard of it being based on any book or movie. Maybe that was an influence on his movie?

Dreamscape and Inception use the same setting (dreams) but they are not the same plot. It would be like calling "The Martian" and "Total Recall" the same movie because they both take place on Mars.
