Most Underrated Film in a long, long time!

The film is simply brilliant and fascinating to watch. For those that didn't get it ... well go see a comedy or a superhero movie. This just seemed to come from nowhere and left me with a haunting that I cannot explain or understand. I watch it at least once-a-month. The score is one of the best of all time!

I fell in love with it in the theater when first opened and I'm almost embarrassed how many times I went back. I probably saw it on the big screen maybe a dozen times.

I've haven't watched the Blu-ray that much, but I watch it and love it. It hasn't lost an ounce of the magic of the first time.

It's probably the most ambitious production I've seen in a long while and really tries to do things in a single film, that I can't ever recall another film attempting. Thank goodness there are film makers like the Wachowskis and Tom Tykwer who are still prepared to keep pushing the boundaries of mainstream cinema continually outwards.

In addition to the top film makers and cast, we can't forget others involved, like editing, score, costumes, and so much more.

I agree, it's simply magical, an epic timeline journey and the only 3-hour long movie I would watch again and again.

Above all I like its cinematography and originality. Romance may have been a little over the top and in Sonmi's case a bit cheesy but it's undeniably better than 95% of the modern sci-fi movies out there. It also bears great arthouse sci-fi elements and that just makes it a classic.

I was really disappointed when I saw that it didn't make it with a good box office ranking.

I agree, it's an amazing piece of work. I love it. :-)

I fell in love with the trailer, which scared me, making me assume the film would never be able to live up to the hype, but the film is beyond amazing, a perfect piece of art, like a strand of DNA.

One of the best and most unique films ever made.

there is another Continental [ie non Hollywood] movie called Lucy [French], based upon the name given to the fossil named Lucy in 1974 disproving the Darwin "kinda theory" of ape to man.

not seen it yet as not on dvd in Oz as yet, but it too uses american lead actors and includes some Hollywood screen candy like car chases/CGI.

however it has already made $400 million from just $40 million budget, so I am still at a loss why CA kinda got rejected by american box-office.

I was surprised by the huge gamble they took with this picture being so massively non-mainstream, complex and thought provoking.

I felt enriched by the experience of watching the film, funny in parts, challenging in others and as a whole something greater than the very average we have had to settle for these days.

A shame it took such a beating at the box office.

I just watched it for the first time since I originally saw it in the theater. Still just as wonderful the 2nd time. Fantastic & ambitious film! Aside from the awkward makeup (and asian face) I think the movie was brilliantly crafted!

Absolutely grossly underrated. It should be in the Top 250 at least and I'd undoubtedly put it in the top 5 of the top 250. To me it's way more than just a brilliant movie it's a whole new way (or whole new reawakening of a long forgotten way) of viewing and depicting existence/spirituality, etc. I truly believe in the years to come it will be more appreciated. Unfortunately, the masses of people are still too spiritually incurious and intellectually lazy to be able to appreciate a masterpiece like this.
