Would of really liked to have seen this as an complete anthology film(each story shown in chronological order), instead of jumping back and forth out of each time line. Just thought is was too tedious being jumbled together, especially since it was about 3 hours long.

There are rumors that such a cut might some day come out. I think it would be interesting to see how it comes out.
But thinking about it now, to do it right, it would take too long, much longer than 3 hours. To take the cuts they have npw and put them in order just wouldn't work. To do it proper, it would have to have been shot that way, which means preconceived and storyboarded that way from the beginning.
The editing as it is ties things together in a way that makes it much easier to string together the connectedness of each of the stories, points that might get lost otherwise.
However, if you want it that way, you can read the book.
