Must be watched twice to understand that ...

it is pretty much an underrated masterpiece.

To link all those lives, to intertwine them and then to bring it to the screen with what seemed to be a believing and committed cast is astonishing. The finished product is superb if you just open the mind.

To those that don't 'get it' or couldn't find anything to love about it, your loss.

I don't think this movie is for everybody.

But for the people that it is for, it can be an incredible and powerful film.

I don't think the people that dislike it are dumb or not sensitive enough though, I just think it's not for them.

I'm so glad that there are others who find so much to love about this film though. It really is remarkable.

True. It needs to be watched twice but i think I've seen this film three times but on the second time i get the point of the film. It's runtime is long but worth watching.

To love the movie you have to be willing to overlook some very questionable parts. Namely, the makeup is often very distracting (sometimes horrible!!) and some of the stories were very corny or cliché.

That said, it's the interplay between all the scenes, the concept of love lasting through the ages, lives repeating and many other picture things that I really loved about the movie. There is an emotional weight to the film that if you let it grab you (along with the music) is incredibly moving.

It's also kind of fun tracing along how a game of telephone through the ages inspired a revolution.

Ugh, the first time is already 2 hours and 50 minutes of mind numbing pretentiousness.
