When the best episode of Boba Fett is the Mandalorian one ...

reply

Bryce Dallas Howard has done a wonderful job with the episodes she has directed in the Mandoverse.

reply

I felt it was very average.

reply

Me too. Saw the comments here, expected that this episode would put gorilla hair on my chest and make my balls drop into the toilet bowl, but this was literally an average Boba Fett episode. Didn't enjoy it more or less than the previous episodes. Gawd I need to avoid reading message boards before watching anything.

it put hairy gorila balls on my chest!

🤣🤣🤣 You ruined my comment!

whoops!

I thought she made the worst episode of Season 1, but one of the better ones of Season 2, and totally knocked it out of the park with this episode, easily the best of Book of Boba Fett. Glad to see her skills behind the camera improving, getting closer to her Father's.

reply

That was…. Freaking awesome! Best episode of Book of Boba by far!
And a Ringworld to boot!

reply

I was surprised when I saw her name pop up. I felt this episode stood out in particular cause it was pretty well directed for once. She's gotten a lot better at this.

reply

exactly. The previous four episodes were boring and washed up.

reply

I attribute it to how beloved the Mandalorian character has become, because overall the Boba Fett show has been great. There was just something unexpected and wonderful about getting a bonus Mandalorian episode out of the blue. It will be nice to see the two characters interact again next week.

reply

I guess we are watching different Boba shows ...

reply

Boba Fett has been great? I guess if you like a higher budgeted episode of Power Rangers it's been great.

reply

If you ever been a Star Wars fan you would appreciate all the new lore we are getting. Just seeing the Mandalorian flying through the old pod racing track in this episode was great. But you just bitch on the internet just because you can, imagine having to live such a horrible life.

reply

I'm not bitching. I'm voicing an opinion- which I have every right to voice. And actually, episode 3 (I haven't watched passed that yet) was so bad that it was hysterical. I actually got a lot of joy out of laughing. It's 50% Power Rangers, 25% Inspector Gadget, and 25% disney. It's an awful combination that provided non-stop laughs.

reply

So you want to defend a bad (so far) show based on the only good episode that wasn't even "in the show".

LOL

I've been a star wars fan since the 70s, but this show isn't great.

Boba is, IMO, a much more complex and interesting character than "Mando". Yes, Mando has a skewed code of honor going on (though so does Boba now), but unless he really starts bucking against the ridiculous teachings his decendents-of-terrorists "Clan" taught him, his character is very limited. He cares for "Baby Yoda", yet even in the face of starting to see how much BS they're full of, he is still shown being dedicated to "The Way". It's almost as if his character hasn't learned. He's still seeking his old master's/clan's approval.

And honestly, Boba deserved a better show than this. It started off somewhat promising, but then the middle episodes were kinda "Meh", and then two entire episodes aren't even about Boba at all. Even though it's supposed to be HIS spotlight. So it wasn't pleasantly surprising, to me. It's been a wasted opportunity. Nothing that happened in Ep. 5, and a lot of 6, matters to Boba's story, and should have just been reserved for Mando S3. At this point, having wasted most of two episodes, I really don't see how they're going to successful wrap this story up in ONE remaining ep., without it feeling incredibly forced/rushed. Because they couldn't be bothered, you know, using ALL of the shows episodes to actually focus on Boba's quest.

straight up facts bruv

To be fir, we've had 2 seasons to get to build up Mando - so they could just cut straight to the chase.
