Breaks Your Heart, Then Breaks It Again, Then Breaks It Again

This is one of those films you only have to see once to remember forever. Abraham Attah (Agu) and Idris Elba (Commandant) deliver incredibly powerful performances. Attah, who was only 13 when this was made, creates an unforgettable character who serves as a representative for the thousands of child soldiers who have been forced to fight in various civil wars all across Africa.

It's difficult to watch stories this heartbreaking but it does make one aware that the world is not a safe place for millions of people and that violence often only leads to more violence.

Musically, Dan Romer's score is one of the best I've heard in ages and fits the film perfectly.

I agree completely.

It's a hard film to watch, but I'm glad I did.

Sidenote: Attah's performance deserved an Oscar for Best Actor and he wasn't even nominated. For my money, he was better than anyone on this list.
Eddie Redmayne - The Danish Girl
Michael Fassbender - Steve Jobs
Bryan Cranston - Trumbo
Matt Damon - The Martian
Leonardo DiCaprio - The Revenant (Winner)

Yes it is, but I'm also glad I watched it.

And I agree completely. Attah's performance was better than any of those nominees. But that's because Hollyweird
is full of morons, fat heads, smoozers, Leftards, and sexual predators. They suck big time
