Commandant and Agu

The film was absolutely great and Commandant made me think he saw Agu as his own son but as the story progresses.. that's not quite it. Nevertheless, it was a good decision Agu left with the other soldiers for a better life than being with Commandant.

I think the Commandant believed his own words. But it was those words that sealed it for Agu to leave him. He knew who his father was and being told he was the Commandant's son was the biggest of the many lies the Commandant had told.

I agree 100%. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't some kind of justice meted out to the Commandant. Even if it was just him falling, breaking his leg and everyone choosing to leave him. Though he deserved worse.
