Does this movie leave you with any sense of hope?
I've been both compelled and repelled to watching this... but the subject matter I find very depressing and would like to think that the end conveys some manner of hope..Granted that I do realize that there are painful and infinite truths that are worth knowing and feeling and have no lollipops and roses.I already know this though.
But this is something out of my control and I'd like to think that there's always hope and that this has more to offer than just sticking it to the viewer..
As heartbreaking as City of God was it did, in the end, convey that some people against all odds can actually escape their hellish circumstances.
Does this end with any hope or even imply the possibility?
