Is it Woke?
I don't want my kids seeing anything that doesn't acknowledge the inherent racism of cats and mice.

shareExplain to your kids that the actions taken by cats and mice and all instinct driven. So unlike humans, animals like this, are not racist. The only racism that exists nowadays is within white people. Hopefully your kids can understand. Do they know yet what white privilege is?
shareI won't respond to the racism in your "the only racism that exists today is within white people" post, but I will point out the inaccuracy of your characterization of cartoon cats and mice: they do not behave like real cats and mice; they are anthropomorphized to act like little people.
My original post was just a (possibly lame) joke. I wasn't attempting to initiate a solemn discussion of Critical Race Theory. I've explained to my kids the importance of having a sense of humor, of not being offended by every little thing, and about how cartoons work. Now that I've given you the same wisdom, I hope your life will be better, and that you will reconsider hating people because of what color they are, and judge them by just by the content of their character (as some famous black guy once said).
