i don't think it's overrated at all. i think it's a blast. one of the best times i've had in a theatre with a new horror movie in a while. it's raunchy & funny & weird & really nicely made. could have been a little bloodier and brutal, but i had a very good time with it and will happily watch it again many more times i'm sure.

I noticed that the critics scores were off the charts. Metacritic is usually a harsh aggregate for the majority of movies. But rated very high for X.

I'm guessing it's because the boyfriend was cuckholded, he thought he "owned" his fiancé, with his patriarchal monogamy shackles, and attempted to withhold her "empowerment" of getting strange dick, on camera and transitioning into the powerful woman he feared she would become. Her body her choice. He does not own her.

Then he ran off crying like a little baby, and was stabbed to death by an empowered woman who was driven to insanity by an abusive husband refusing to provide for her in the bedroom department. The husband was also cuckholded.

Critics love it, 11/10

The cuckhold part pushed it into legendary territory for the critics.
