sharePersonally, I felt her portrayal of Catwoman was very subdued compared to the other actresses who have donned the character. Catwoman is often defined as a sexually liberated, uncompromising woman who is constantly on guard of danger.
The irony is the character is always struggling to find her own form of self-expression. I believe Hathaway was trying to display a more grounded persona in order to bring out the depth of her character's pain towards the skewed sense of justice in the world. Her Catwoman was still trying to figure out who she was.
