A) The first time Bruce fought Bane he was not the Batman character we know, he didn’t care about his life and literally wanted to die being Batman. He simply didn’t care to research why Bane had the mask, it wasn’t until he rose from the pit that he cared about defeating Bane. Also the mask wasn’t to help him breathe, it was to block out the constant pain he had due to the beating he received in prison, damn you are stupid
B) He didn’t know why he wore the mask, he rushed into fighting Bane before doing his research.
