The worst part of it is is they had the ability to actually give him an good arc to defeat bane. Have Bruce/ Batman truly learn what it means to live in this horrible pit and be reborn. in a way that he learns to overcome Bane.
Not only does he literally rise from the pit, but also figuratively, reborn.
So what does the culmination of Bruce's time in there teach him? What does this reborn batman do that is different? aim for the obviously vulnerable mask..... literally something he could of done in the first fight... wow....
Clearly you missed the point of the pit, he now values his life meaning he can fight harder and longer because he is also aiming to be able to live a life without Batman. That was why he did the jump without the rope, because he knew that if he missed that time he was going to be dead and that gave him the energy and the adrenaline to make it.
Please stick with films that don't require the audience to think.
lol I didn't miss anything. and what you claim it is about that had nothing to do with the final showdown. Hence he went through no arc. Apparently you missed the point if thats what you got. that symbolically it meant "he could fight harder with more adrenaline and energy" lol.
kid you would be laughed out of a first year film class with the type of analysis..
It absolutely had everything to do with the final fight, when Bruce rose from the pit he was now the Batman character that we were familiar with, he cared about his life and had regained his fear of death, this carries over to the very end when Bruce was able to have a life for himself with Selina, the old Bruce would have continued being Batman until he died. The first time he saw Bane he didn't care if he lived or died, he just was going to continue fighting and fighting until he died being Batman, when he rose from the pit he had a completely different outlook on life. Dude seriously this was what the entire series was building up to ever since Batman Begins, you really need to pay attention better.
Then doesn't mention the final fight at all hahahahah. No it wasn't building up to this... you've shown you don't even have a first year understanding of film. the other two had very different themes. In this one, the title gives it away if you are too simple.
"the dark knight RISES"
'bane saying "I was born in the dark".
he literally and figuratively rose from a dark pit. His body was mangled and he was defeated. but he was reborn and rose from the pit.
and yet all you've gleamed from these theme is "yaaa he just had to get more energy to win.. wait no actually its all about life after!! he was in a dark pit he had to escape. but its all about appreciating life"
man you can't form coherent arguments because you have none.. you don't interpret the actual symbols that Nolan used. instead you make them up to suit your argument and defend a weak film.
You said there was no arc, clearly there was an arc. He regained his fear of death, he started valuing his life which is how he was able to defeat Bane and it was how he was able to have a life with Selina after Bane was defeated and the people of Gotham had been inspired to take their city back from the criminals and the corrupt AND it was no longer based on a lie.
If you don't get the film that's fine but don't blame the film for your inability to get it.
hahahahah okay buddy. what happen to the "energy and adrenaline symbolism!"
you re a mess kid. you clearly didn't take a single film class. keep trying to justify this garbage. that wasn't how he was able to beat Bain. he's supposed to be a genius and great fighter.. the obviously weak breathing apparatus would be apparent to anyone. you don't have to go into a death pit to realize that lol.
again. he had no arc. his growth had nothing to do with him defeating the villain. the movie is crap compared to the first two. fans agree. critics agree. you are objectively wrong
Secondly watch the first fight and then watch the second fight ten times. And really pay attention and notice what he did differently.
Third really pay attention to Bruce's character before and after the pit, note the differences in his character after he rises from the pit and that should answer all of your questions.
I have a feeling though that since you are so blatantly immature you will go into this process refusing to change your narrowminded and ignorance based opinion but that would be my advice.
Tell you what, PM me your address and I'll send you my VHS copy of Batman Forever that I received for my 10th birthday. I think you'd like that one better. Don't have a VCR I'll even order you a blu ray copy off of amazon. It's much easier to follow so I think you'll enjoy it.
butthurt cause I unmanned you? hahahahhahha. dark knight rises is now too deep? Jesus man. if you want we can crowd fund and get you some film classes. You probably think inception is super super super deep too.
Lol you didn’t unman anyone, but keep telling yourself that if it helps you sleep at night. Now PM me your address I’m nice enough to offer you a free copy of a film you’ll enjoy much more
I know. he didn't go through a change lol. he already appreciated life. if anything his arc was him leaving Gotham city to run itself and being okay with that.
you re too dumb to even know that though. instead its "energy and adrenaline!!"
lol you haven't even taken a first year film class omg this is embarrassing
Lol and is energy and adrenaline the only thing I said? What did Bruce do at the end that he wasn’t able to do throughout the trilogy? Hint: this is what the entire series had been building up to. You seriously need to hunt down whoever taught you your film class and demand your money back
the fact you can't recognize the rising/rebirth metaphor is truly embarrassing... the cops underground. batman losing(dying symbolically) and being reborn rising from the pit. the name giving it away.
lol kid I can lend you some books if you want. again you'd be laughed out of a first year film class.
LOL OK kid, go watch the entire trilogy again, pay attention this time and examine how Bruce changed after he rose from the pit. Either that or get off the board and PM me your address so I can order you a copy of Batman Forever.
