Black stepmother in a medieval setting! - The dragon is stupid, woman killing dragons with her intelligence

It was quite entertaining despite the underlying agenda which is the norm this days , no stupid jokes, enough action, lots of diversity 6/10

reply

Get ready. It’s the new normal.

reply

I hear yea. The movie was so much more unbelievable with a black woman in it. The nerve of these people.

reply

It is not about realism, it is called anachronism and it is annoying some times

reply

So you can shut off your nonsense mechanism for the flying dragon but the black lady throws your for a loop?

Interesting.

reply

They only cast a black (stepmother) to check the diversity box. It's so obvious and insincere at this point.

reply

Pretty inconsistent for a Lord to marry the daughter of a rope maker too (and if indeed he was a King, even more so!)

reply

Seemed like the mother and the prince were ticking their own boxes in this film. There was the ghost of a black girl in the cave, Millie is white, the next girl lined up to be sacrificed was Asian. I'm pretty sure they would have found a trans female further down the line to marry the prince.
