It is a good movie yes. And it is worth watching even with the annoying reporter bitch that's in it. The movie is definitely different from 98% of most horror movies made over the last decade and a half. And by that I mean the outcome for certain types of characters in the movie.
The guy (Marcus) survives at the end while his annoying bitch of a girlfriend that got them into the mess doesnt survive. And with that good news comes some sad news, the newbie reporter that tags along with them (Meghan Heffern), she too gets killed. What a waste she was a cutie. But still I love the ending through it not being this "girl power" type of ending most horror movies these days have. It's one thing to have them to cater for the female viewer as well. But to make nearly every single horror movie end with the "final girl cliche" is more than enough.
I thank everyone who made this movie for giving us a breath of fresh air in a stale tiresome and predictable genre. There is still hope for decent horror yet. Movies that break the mould set that was mentioned in the spoiler tag above.
