Yes! I also noticed that about the main blonde "bad" guy. He had a really nice-looking haircut.

If you look closely you'll realize there were many signs of modernity in the town: A truck, indoor plumbing, electricity, jeans, etc. They definitely had contact with the modern world. The truck alone would have required periodic stops at a gas station, in addition to requiring going into town to renew license plates, registration and insurance.
