Horrible, horrible movie.
It's not the actors fault, it's the writers and whoever decides what movies get made. I would LOVE to talk to those people and ask them wtf they were thinking.
shareTotally agree. I thought the same thing. I gave the actors the benefit of the doubt, kept hoping it would it get better, kept hoping it would get to the point... It never did.
I've never seen such awkward dialogue. I don't think I laughed once.

Not to mention it was a dysfunctional story. What? Jack Nicholson has stopped reading the scripts he agrees to work in? Just what did the pregnant assistant add to the story? The hospital scene seemed to add absolutely nothing to the story at all. And yet, they shot it as if it belonged in the story.
Horrible production.
No kidding. There were about 2 dozen details that were so pointless. The hospital scene was dumb - and redoing the proposal? It added nothing. Why on earth did Rudd fall down the stairs while on the phone? Lots of distracting pointless little details, but the real plot was never developed enough that you cared a bit about any of the characters.
