Set in DC
Someone else here referred to the character "Lisa" as having a large Manhattan apartment (and it was fairly large, by Manhattan standards, for a single, not very rich person). But much of the time, it didn't look like Manhattan or environs to me, considering the buses, the taxis and general scenery. I was thinking Washington DC. Wait! (Goes to handy search engine, and...)
OK, I remembered the bakery below "George"'s new small apartment had a 202 area code on its neon sign, and sure enough, that's for DC. So, as Emily Lutella would say, "Never mind." But just in case any others are under the misapprehension that this is supposed to be Manhattan, I'll go ahead and post this anyway.
Multiplex: 100+ shows a day, NONE worth watching. John Sayles' latest: NO distribution. SAD.
