No one talks like that

Is it just me, or the dialog in this movie sounds completely made up, like the writers wanted to create quirky characters and overdid it by 60%. No one is this quirky, no one claps a hand on a girl's mouth to prevent her from venting, no one is this silly and ignorant like an Owen Wilson character, and I can go on and on. The only character who seemed at least a bit probable was Paul's Dad, Jack Nicholson. Even his lines were overexagerated, with the yelling and gesticulating. My point is, the dialogue in this movie could only occur in a movie, people in real life express their feelings and emotions in a much simpler and less quirky way. But that's just me.

i didn't completely watch the movie, and to be honest it wasn't all that memorable... but what i do remember was thinking that they analyzed every move they made to it's fullest extent and that just gave me a headache and annoyed me. i didn't need the movie to explain what they were doing and why they were doing it, that's all part of the movie viewing experience. that totally ruined the movie for me, i just couldn't watch anymore.

Just watched this film. Going on from the topic of this. I am frustrated by the accent of George's girl friend "Terry".

She talked in an indian accent!!! She was born and bred in England, so why was she made to speak that way, typed casted or what?
