Hayson and Prideaux

Were they lovers? It seems insinuated by Haydon saving Prideaux from Karla and Prideaux shooting Haydon in the end.... the look in their eyes. Plus it was insinuated that Haydon swung both ways and that they were very close to each other...

Yes, they were. Although it isn't spelled out in the film we are given enough clues to see the truth. As a director, Tomas Alfredson is all about "show don't tell". 

It was spelled out as such in the novel...and hinted at in the movie.

Even in the series, if you read between the lines, Prideaux loved Haydon.

The only source in the novel (a professor) that specifically addressed whether or not they were lovers, ridiculed the idea. Smiley, after looking at the evidence, decides they were certainly very close friends, and POSSIBLY lovers too.

In short, the novel raises the possibility that they were lovers, but never resolves it.

The novel merely emphases that they were very very close, in order to underscore the depth of Haydon's betrayal.

They're not known as double agents for nothing.🐭
