J.C. plays the same character in everything I've seen her in. It's cool that she's getting critical recognition and all, but she needs to stop playing the tragic diva/mommy figure to flamboyant gay men and lustful siren to pubescent teenage boys.

Admittedly, I haven't finished season 2 yet (although I saw all of season 1), but I don't recall her as *either* of those things in this (I mean, the word 'tragic' applies to her character, but none of the rest of those descriptions, particularly).
