Feelz Like It Needed Mo…
…blood. Just a lil bit
shareThough I don't ascribe to the idea that more blood = a better horror movie, this did feel like it was missing something. There was a bit when only the mother was a deadite, the movie did feel like it dragged a bit. The 1981 film felt more frantic and chaotic.
I'm not necessarily saying that there had to be more blood. But it did feel like it got going more when people beside the mother became deadites.
That's not to say it was bad. I'd definitely watch it again. Maybe when there have been four movies and a TV show prior to this, it's hard to recapture the mood of the first one.

I liked the film very much, but I thought the same. I found myself thinking 'When's somebody else going to get killed?'. Thankfully, it picked up again.
