Watched this in Hopes of Softball Action - Spoilers Alert (not that it matters)....

I watched this on a whim. I love softball, and after watching a so called softball themed movie (How Do You know), with little to no softball action, my quest for another movie, that might have more softball, lead me to this one. Oddly enough, this movie actually has more softball action than 'How Do You Know'. The team of models actually make it through the ranks, up to the championship game. And while some of them could play fair to decent, they mostly got there by flirting, distracting, crying, etc. Basically, they cheated.

If you watch this, you may want to rip it apart due to the content, the acting, the plot, etc. However, to me, this movie seems like a project that probably some friends did, for fun: Not looking to make some block buster, or even to get on the movie map. But to provide some fun, low budget entertainment....a way to exercise film creation without a lot of stress and without taking themselves seriously. It did what it set out to do.
And as for the plot....it is not so far fetched to me. I can see this being based on true events: Drunken Dudes making bets along the lines of this. Perhaps one said, "My kid sister's softball team could beat your team of over-weight, beer guzzling dudes who peaked when they played varsity baseball". But to make it interesting, they decided to make it a team of sexy models for obvious reasons.
