What the hell was going on in this movie, if you understand, please explain.

Some guy, Robbie Banfitch, set's out with 3 friends to make a vanity art-house film project in the desert. Along the way, they make lots of dumb jump-cuts, make lots of silly noises, use lots of fake blood and body parts, and occasionally talk amongst themselves while making up the script along the way.
Oh, sorry... you meant what was the film they shot about. No fucking idea, but I guarantee I still understood more what the plot was than the guys making it did.
