Live episode

Okay, is this episode seriously live? Because I find it ridiculous that of course on the live episode everyone's bumping into things, cameras fail, etc. "Hahaha the director's having to play the clown." How conveniently comedic.

-What does it matter?
-It matters! "What does it matter"? I wanna know!

Whoever wrote the wikipedia article on the show apparently believes the show was actually done live.

I would be very, very, very, very surprised if the episode actually was performed at midnight Eastern Standard Time, though. Very, very, very, very.

Yeah it was obviously a joke. I had a feeling it would be judging by the previews.

Well, they were obviously trying to make fun of live episodes. But wheter it was actually done live (and twice, since I didn't see the second airing) or pre-recorded, well, that's still up in the air.

Sadly it was definitely not done live. You can see bits from the ep in this promo

100% not live and to be honest, silly to think maybe it was. You must have seen high production shows that had live episodes and you can really tell. You would know a mile away if it was really live

But a great episode thats for sure

It was clearly a parody of the "live show" gimmicks that sitcoms currently do for ratings.

I never for a second that it was actually live.........but was it all done in a single shot? (which I would find even more impresive, as a matter of fact.

I was in the same room as Jon Hamm and Matt Walsh when the "live" show would have been airing on the East Coast. And we were in a different area of Los Angeles. So there you go - not live.
